Facebook is testing facial recognition to recover your account in case of hack or lost

Unknown     October 05, 2017     0
Your is turning out to either be your savior if you lost your Facebook account by mistake or by hackers or it could be the reason why you cant create multiple accounts. face is getting a lot of attention on your face lately.
The iPhone X's Face ID is a recent example, as is Android Pay's reportedly upcoming facial authentication for loyalty programs. Airports may soon use the tech to help streamline boarding and security lines, though there are still privacy concerns over the implementation. Still, that hasn't deterred Facebook from testing "a facial recognition feature to help secure your account," according to a tweet from The Next Web's Matt Navarra.

— Matt Navarra ⭐️ (@MattNavarra) September 29, 2017
According to TechCrunch,  the feature is only being tested to let users back into accounts they've been locked out of. The site also reports that a social media researcher sent the screenshot to Navarra, and that if the feature is reliable and not easily hacked, it could roll out to more users. There's not much detail on the technology or its implementation (mobile? laptop? special hardware?) nor any implementation timeline, though. We've reached out to Facebook for comment on this matter and will update the post when we hear back.

Google Phone Without SIM Cards Or Call It Virtual SIM Card - eSIM (Pixel 2 and 2 XL )

Unknown     October 05, 2017     0

Google added a lot to the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL, there is this so fascinating upgrade which is going to affect the way our normal phones look. Its actually going to be taking away the SIM cards in your android, iPhone, Nokia or other phones. Although both the Pixel 2 and 2 XL devices still have a nano-SIM slot (contrary to a few rumors), but they also use eSIMs like that on the Apple Watch Series 3 in as much this is supported by your carrier, you just have to download a virtual SIM during the setup process to activate service. Needless to say, that's a welcome change if you're tired of the usual SIM swapping ritual needed for upgrading handsets.
Of course, it's that support which may be the sticking point. To no one's surprise, Google's own Project Fi is the only carrier currently lined up to support eSIMs. You'll still need to insert a regular SIM card with other networks for now, and it won't be surprising if they're hesitant to sign up. After all, this would let you easily activate or switch carriers without ordering a card or visiting a store. This is more about futureproofing the Pixel line than anything. If and when other carriers get with the eSIM program, your handset will be ready.
So are you up for this change?

Facebook Comes Up With A Smarter Search Engine

facebook graph search

Now we know what Facebook is building: a better internal search system.

Speaking at a much-hyped event at Facebook HQ, founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced a raft of improvements to "graph search" — that is, the ability to search within your social graph for specifics.
The search improvements involve the ability to ask questions in regular English, such as "which of my friends live in New York?" The search is now intelligent enough to rank your friends based on how much interaction you've had — so that closer friends will appear higher up the results list.
It can also search based on stories or photos you've Liked. One example Zuckerberg offered: the site can now display which of his friends have Liked the HBO show Game of Thrones. You can search for people who Like multiple products or services, which seems likely to be a bonanza for marketers.
Photos can also be ranked by which have the most Likes, based on the people most important to you in your Friends list. And one of the most useful use cases appears to be searching for local businesses that have received a thumbs-up from friends (and their friends).
Graph search starts today in beta, and will appear as a large blue search bar at the top of your Facebook page. You can sign up for the beta — or rather, join the Waiting List for a beta invite —here.
Zuckerberg was careful to emphasize that Graph Search is a new and limited product. For now, it will focus on four areas: people, photos, places and interests.
see what it looks like on the image above.

"With Graph Search you combine phrases (for example: 'my friends in New York who like Jay-Z') to get that set of people, places, photos or other content that's been shared on Facebook," wrote product manager Tom Stocky and engineering manager Lars Rasmussen on Facebook's official announcement blog post.

"We believe they have very different uses."
The pair were also careful to assuage privacy concerns:
We’ve built Graph Search from the start with privacy in mind, and it respects the privacy and audience of each piece of content on Facebook. It makes finding new things much easier, but you can only see what you could already view elsewhere on Facebook.
In cases where it can't find anything useful for you, Graph search will default to a web search — powered by Facebook's partner, Microsoft's Bing. Zuckerberg reluctantly revealed that negotiations with Google that would have allowed the search giant access to Facebook results had broken down.
